We invest heavily in the most up to date CNC lathes (22 machines at present) with opposed spindles and large groups of tooling in the working area, both static and driven, so that most parts can be produced quickly in one hit.
Our investment is matched by our commitment to training our highly skilled work force. Everything that happens on the shop floor at Swissmatic is aimed at speeding the lead-time between order receipt and delivery of finished parts.
Technology
Our technicians are equipped with the latest and most accurate form of gauging, non-contact measuring and test equipment, supported by a computerised calibration system.
To complement our state of art CNC lathes, we have a factory wide computer network system for our DNC, Production Control, Quality Assurance (click link), SPC and Measuring Systems. Being a member of Cyber Essentials demonstrates our commitment of maintaining our computer security, thus providing a safe and secure platform.

Typical batch quantity orders can vary dramatically from a few prototypes to over million products – to continuous running. Consignment stocking and supply schedules often apply to these contracts.

Quantities from one to a million
In the current financial climate, no one wants to hold excess stock but may find it a necessity for their business. Reducing batch size and last minute ordering increases component cost and can create supply issues. Here at Swissmatic we are happy to machine in economical batch quantities and deliver in a Kanban or scheduled order scenario, reducing your component cost and your inventory without disrupting supply.
